Carolynn Bauer Zorn

Carolynn left her career as a sales engineer to pursue writing full time. She has a degree in Sociology from the University of Detroit/Mercy.
Carolynn grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. She lived in Chicago and Seattle before settling in the Detroit area where she raised her four children. As a grandmother of seven, who attended the birth of four grandchildren, Carolynn brings not only a passion for the subject but first hand experience as well.
She now resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband, Dave, who is a radio news broadcaster.
Her grandmother, Florence Marvyne Bauer, was a prolific biblical novelist and her grandfather, Dr. William Waldo Bauer, was a popular writer of health and family books.
Carolynn is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators, the Ventura County Writers Club and the National Writers Union. She has been published in the Los Angeles Times, the Ventura County Star and in various online magazines. Attending Your Grandchild's Birth: A Guide for Grandparents is her first book.

While currently working on her second book about her grandson's tragic stillbirth, Carolynn continues to submit freelance articles on the subjects of parenting, grandparenting, pregnancy and childbirth, and neonatal death.
